Pilot Mountain Fire Burns Over 300 Acres While Fire Crews Battle To Contain It

On Saturday, November 27th a fire was sparked in Pilot Mountain State Park in Surry County, North Carolina. So far it has burned over 300 acres as of Sunday night. Conditions in the area have been extremely dry with no rain in sight. Local fire departments, and state forestry services are working together to combat this blaze with water drops and ground crews fighting the fire. Authorities are asking people to stay out of the area and to keep all drones and aircraft grounded while efforts are ongoing.
