Our Top Priorities for funding
The professionals at UCCC that have made contributions to oncology science hope to build on the momentum that has been created by their previous discoveries. To continue the work of the professionals, a number of funding priorities have been established by the AMC Cancer Research Center. They include:
• Lab Science - Recruiting top faculty and creating endowed chairs
• Clinical Science - Funding for collaborative research, for innovative research and for a drug development institute
• Treatment - Build a new clinical center and a new drug development institute, and purchase state-of-the-art equipment to support them
• Education & Outreach - Increase funding for behavioral and psychosocial research and promote healthy lifestyle choices with awareness and education tools
